Many pastoral stations have registered for an HIR project but haven’t yet got the project “live” and issuing ACCUs. For some, this is because they don’t understand what is required, for others, it is because they signed up with a carbon developer who promised them the world and then failed to deliver. Others simply don’t want to sign 25% of their ACCUs away to a developer so don’t know who to ask to guide them through the process.
AirborneLogic is not a carbon developer. We are a spatial data analysis company with deep expertise in HIR projects and we operate on a fee-for-service model. We can’t get you out of a bad contract with a carbon developer (speak to a lawyer for that), but we can help you with everything else HIR related.
We can do the preliminary stratification (often called the prefeasibility study) to help you understand how much the HIR project might be worth, the initial stratification (ie figuring out which areas are eligible to generate ACCUs), the gateway checks (when the progress of your tree growing is assessed), fire reporting and more. Best of all we bundle all this data up into a single portal for easy project management and reporting.
Unlike many traditional developers who have the primary goal of artificially inflating the estimated carbon sequestration to earn your business, (and who then leave you hanging with unrealistic management requirements to meet those goals), we focus heavily on high quality data, robust science and conservatism in our estimates, and make sure that you are involved in the decision making for the project. After all, its your property.
